Frequently Asked Questions

What home improvement services do you specialize in?

I specialize in home repairs.  I can fix or replace sinks, faucets, locks, doors and windows.  Homesite Handymen offers general carpentry services such as: building cabinets for garages and closets, crown molding, replacing rotted doorjambs and thresholds.  I love doing repairs but also love larger projects like redoing tile in a bath, kitchen or shower, designing or redesigning closets and garages, as well as moving or building drawers and shelving in order to optimize space.

Are there any home improvement services you don’t offer?

I am not licensed to do major electrical, plumbing or HVAC work. I also don’t do major landscaping or roofing. However I can install or change faucets, fix leaks, add dimmer switches, and other smaller specialty projects.

If you need a service that I don’t provide, contact me for help choosing someone.  I have a trusted list of professional electricians, plumbers, A/C and heating technicians, landscapers, roofers and many others.  I will refer you to someone that I trust – simply acting as your referral source, not as general contractor.

How far outside of Frisco do you offer your services?

I generally stay within far north Dallas.  From Frisco to McKinney, Allen, north Plano, Prosper, Celina and Little Elm.

What makes you different from other home maintenance businesses?

My business is located in Frisco.  I have lived and been a part of the community for over 15 years.  I’m a handyman but also a neighbor which means that I’m always accessible.  You can rely on me being here long after a job is complete.  Most of my referrals have been from Frisco residences, many of which are your neighbors and mine.

If I need guidance on a project I’m doing myself, can you help me?

Please contact me if you need any advice on one of your own projects.  I’ve done or seen pretty much any type of project that you may be trying to tackle.  I’m in business to serve my clients and anyone else that can benefit from my experience.

What are your prices?

It’s difficult to price most services without seeing or at least talking to you about the service you need.   My goal is to be fair and competitive when providing you with a quote.  In order to do that I have to be accurate with material cost as well and labor.  What I can tell you is that I don’t up-charge materials that I buy or that you can buy at retail prices.  My costs are only going to be materials and labor. Our pricing can either be hourly or cost-per-job, depending on the job and you as my client.
